Caretaker

I've pretty much locked this house down so that no one gets in or out without me knowing it. Still don't feel too safe. It feels like age-old paranoia is coursing through my veins again, and it's very unwelcoming at this time.

Lizzie just lays in bed all day. I bring her food and try to talk to her as much as I can, but it doesn't do much good. She barely eats, and barely speaks. She's just so un-Lizzie and it's frightening.

I'm trying to figure out the drawing, but it doesn't really make much sense. I mean, it's a bunch of stick figures, so trying to pick an identity out by myself is difficult as anything else. I'll try to bring it by her.

I gotta say, if she did draw Slender Man, the guy pointing the gun at him's got some serious balls. Does anyone knows if that actually works, shooting him? I've always wondered why Alex or Jay never had a gun when they went up against those guys. One shot to the head, boom, they're down. Problem solved.

I called the chief to let him know what was going on. He seemed annoyed, but he agreed that I should stay with her, and said he'd get help over to us whenever he could. Lizzie doesn't want it, but I insist. She's got a pretty big house, and I can't stand guard all by myself.

Every time I see her, I feel like just crawling into a hole and staying there until it's all over. The last time I saw her like this was when her dad finally got taken away; not that he didn't deserve it, but it's never fun when your parent gets taken away.

Alright, well, I've got to go check on her. I'll update when I can, internet is not the most reliable out here, but I'll keep posting. Amazing how something I utterly despised is probably the only thing keeping me sane right now.

Just don't let that get to your heads or anything.

  1. Did you by any chance count up the number of unique individuals in each of Lizzie’s own drawings, or were they too stick-figureish to tell the difference? They may be based off of the previous victims, maybe even the four hollowed out bodies in the apartment. Did any of the victims have easy access to a gun? Speaking of the victims from the apartment, was there ever any progress on IDing them?

  2. Lizzie got on here while I was in the bathroom and gave out the identities, so you can go and check out the comments there. The entry before she stormed in and told me what the code meant.

We didn't find a gun on them. We're still not even sure if they were killed in that room. Conaghan rented out the apartment a while back, I'm not sure if he ever used it.

The other drawings are your basic cryptic words, stick figure Spider-Men and crossed-out circles. The usual. This one that I'm pouring over...I feel like I know who the people are, but...I don't know, if they are who I think they are, then it gets even weirder.

  3. I know this sounds weird but... what if the woman in the drawing is Lizzie, the wounded guy Eric and the man with the gun you?
Silly idea is silly, I know, sorry.

  4. Honestly...I've started thinking that myself.

The guy holding the gun looks like me; his hair is slicked back, like I usually have mine. And I would have the balls to point the gun at anyone, even a mythical being.

I don't want to think about the woman being Lizzie. If that's really how she views herself...

I'm still skeptical about the third one. The figure she's drawn has long, messy hair and a beard that hasn't seen a razor in what could be months. Eric was always more clean-shaven and his hair was always short. Hell, this guy could just be a hobo.

She still won't answer me about it, so I don't know for definite. But if it IS us...what is she trying to say?

  5. Zeke. The man in the drawing. The man with the gun. That man is you.

  6. I, for one, do not believe that it's prudent to start jumping to conclusions. If the analogy of Mr. Strahm being the gunman (not a lone gunman, though. Thankfully.) is true, then it might signal that Mr. Strahm is going to defend Ms. Armeen and an unknown wounded individual (perhaps Eric after he's been deprived of a barber and a good shave?) from the looming threat in the picture. However, it is possible that it may be unrelated still.

Regardless, I believe you are doing the wisest thing here based on the available information, Mr. Strahm. Make sure there's at least one relatively easy escape route; barricades can easily recoil upon those within. But you're probably doing this already.

  7. But this is Lizzie we're talking about! From how you describe her there's no way she's willing to just die hiding in a hole like this! If it doesn't matter where she is, then try to move her somewhere that isn't covered in creepy drawings.

    Those probably aren't helping.

    1. THANK YOU.

That guy's comments are getting annoying.
